- Thu Oct 20, 2011 4:12 pm #278421 Title kinda sums it up there's oil seeping out of my valve cover line which goes to my intake so I decided to add a lil breather filter till I get the problem fixed shuld I get a new valve cover gasket ? I installed a new pcv line and I had to make up my own pcv hose which broke I really don't know If it's suppose to help my valve cover I know it's for my crank case . Thanks

- Thu Oct 20, 2011 5:38 pm #278442 The oil is blow-by and some is normal. A properly working PCV valve does help.

A catch can is the sure way to prevent blow-by from entering your intake manifold.
