if it is not laminar..increases turbulent flow causing slower velocities. =X

but i'm not even sure what your question is..What do you mean MESS UP?

ps. did you read my thread :P

From what I've seen you post so far, I would not attempt to do this yourself. Save up and send the head out to a machine shop and upgrade valves & have them throw a cam in while your at it :thumb:

Just don't do THIS

I think I'm ready to nominate the dumbest person of the year  and Mr. runner-up  :x  .

Honda heads flow pretty well as-is. I'd learn on a spare so you can still drive your car. And you'll really need to test the flow as well to see if you made any progress. (instead of assembling, disassembling, draining oil, coolant, and using head gaskets every time to test it on your engine)
So figure you buy a spare head, all the porting tools, pay for before & after testing, and if your time is worth anything to you... it's a lot less of a hassle to just have one built so it is done right the first time. if porting & polishing a head didn't involve any kind of knowledge and experience, we would all be doing it ourselves :hehe:

Read some of the articles over at Endyn aka The Old One.

If it's N/A, you're much more likely to do more harm than good.

Experiment on a cheap spare heads. Throw away non-VTEC heads would be great.

Do you even have any tools? Books? Plan on this taking you at least a year to learn and many many junked heads along the way.

Better flow doesn't give you more power, and a flowbench can't tell you whether you're gaining power or losing it.
