Rev Problem
Posted: Sat Aug 13, 2011 1:44 amFor some reason my Eg won't rev past 6k its like it just dies there. Cleaned the IACV fresh tune up w/ fuel filter (D16Z6). Any ideas?
check fuel pressure, it should read 40-47psi with the vacuum still connected to the fuel pressure regulator. 31-38psi with the vacuum disconnected from the regulator.
if the pressures are off, then check your fuel pump. If the pump is okay then:
if the pressures are low, then it could be the regulator or a leak in the fuel system. If the pressures are high, then you could have a pinched or clogged fuel return hose/line, or the regulator could be bad as well.
are there any CELs?
