i have a manual b16a at the present time but the rings are bad and it smokes alot....im getting a auto B16a for cheap

so my question is if i buy the Auto B16a and use my gear box on it will i have to do any extra stuff ECU wise?

and will it perform the same as my manual B16a motor?

Nope, engines are the same, transmissions are different. The only thing you will do to the engine is take off the flex plate and put your flywheel, clutch & pressure plate on :thumb:

And use the longer flywheel bolts, not the short flex plate bolts :thumb:

yes this is true.

Why not just put the cams from your old B16 into the new one?

I've heard rumors that the starters could possibly be different also.
