- Tue May 31, 2011 11:29 am #257497 how to discharge a/c system? i want to remove complete a/c system, but i don't know how to discharge it. i plan to do this at home, so any idea or advice is welcome

- Tue May 31, 2011 5:47 pm #257529 Here in the United States it must be done by a Trained Professional or someone ASE epa 609 certifed in discharging the System. I am ASE certifed in this and if a shop or someone did this themselves without the cert or recovery machine and was caught. The fine is up to 10,000 dollars because it is not suppose to be let into the atmosphere.

Plus the Gases and Oils are pretty toxic and can kill u if inhaled.If possible take it to somone Certified.
