i kno what they do im just wondering if wrapping ur headers with thermal wraps would lower ur exhaust noise levels. im thinking yes and no. yes because it acts like a noise insulator, just a bit. and no because since the heat is more contained and not escaping the headers, it will travel faster throughout the exhaust system, and the faster the gas flows the louder the exhaust.

anyone kno??

I've never noticed a difference with mine or any others that ive heard before and after wrapping them

Ive notice the tone is a little deeper

I don't think it would sense the noise would go from the headers to the cat, down the pipes and out the muffler... if anything it should be louder on the other end where the muffler is @...
