- Wed Nov 03, 2010 9:10 pm #221423 So i'm new to this forum. And i don't really know much, trying to read and search as much as possible. So i was planning to swap my D series engine to a GSR. The thing is i don't really know a good site/place to buy one. Also, Some people are telling me to buy just the long block and head but then that would mean i would have to buy the other parts right? If so, then what parts would i have to buy? I'm so confused

Any help guys?

short block = bottom end

and yes if you only buy the long block that you will have to get B series trans clutch, pressure plate, linkage, etc...

Planning to save up and once i do have enough money, i could just straight up buy it. But would buying separate parts be more efficient or should i just straight up save up for everything?
