DIY: ITR AirBox holder in EG

I hope this is the right section.

For those who whant their ITR airbox a little bit stiffer in the engine bay and have a propper fit.

1. we get a OEM ITR airbox holder

2. we fabricate some extensions out of a 2mm thick steel

this is where they go to

3. now that we have the metal sheets and know where they go, we have to adjust the 90° piece and prep them for welding

this is how it looks after welding and cleaning

4. we use the OEM holes 1 is from the EG box and the 2. is where the gear ground is conected to the chassis they fit perfect :thumb: to mark where the new holes have to be in the extension. After marking where the holes have to be i used a 8mm drill to give the 6mm skrew some air.

in my case i had to use a file to open up a pocket for the clutch line

5. re paint it

and this is how it looks in the car

Perfect! Exactly what i needed! My itr box is now only bold on with 1 bold.. :eh:

very nice i had an ls intake on my car and was only able to use one bolt well it went all over the place great diy

i think ill give you a +1 rep on d-series as i see its on there as well lol
