Ok so my cat is out and has been for a little bit now so I don't know if it applies to my question. Anyway my oil light keeps coming on in my car when I'm at a stand still, but when I'm driving it goes off and I know I have more than enough oil, actually a full extra quart. So I'm wondering could it be my oil sending unit or maybe even the cluster? Also where is the oil sending unit located? I have a mini me swap in my 92 si hatch if that helps d16z6 head/ d15b7 block

the oil light only comes on when the pressure drops below like 2 or 3 psi...
I wouldn't be driving it till you get it figured out. that'll kill that mini-me in no time

faulty oil pressure sensor or your oil pump is on its way out. I haven't heard of the sensor going bad....
Your best hope is a loose/faulty wire or connector. check that out first

could also be main & rod bearings worn out or spun.
mains will be my guess/bet!! probably does it once it`s warmed up and at idle right. is it auto trans. cause if it is put it in neutral may help the light go out ( mainly cause engine rpm raises) oil light probably flickers!!!
