i know im not teal, but
check your oil, if its like a milky light brownish color wit a tent of green then the oil and coolent are mixed

take out the spark plugs and see if there is any oil or coolent on the tips
do a compression check, you will lose compression wit a bad hg, which will be a power loss

and if none of that, just the normal wear and tear.. i think they say to change it every 90-100k miles not sure,

and hellboy, there is a 1 wire connector under the distubutor , that wire is what sends reading to the gauge cluster, so either thats bad, the wire is not connected or your gauge cluster is bad, but the cluster rarely goes bad.. thats more then likely the reason the gauge doesnt work
