no idea y..... hope u can help

so i pull the car into the garage to start my supercharger install........ once i realize i should put it on ramps i go to turn it on and it wont turn over at all. but i have power cuz all the dash light, radio, headlights etc. work. after three days of the install i finall try to start it today. so i try to push start it and it starts but then dies after about 5 sec. try again but no power....... reatach battery connection and fuse. the fuse is shot. i make a connection but everytime we try to connect the battery it just sparks everywhere....... so now what???? i checked the grounds and they r fine. fuses under dash r good. no dash lights but the break lights work. sooooooo...... wtf???? thnx in adevance.

btw..... we didnt unplug anything while installing.

From the time you pulled it into the garage to the time you put it on ramps, what all did you do?

You've got an electrical short, something is arcing.

did you install the sc, or is it back to the way it was before?

You have a serious short to ground on your battery power, starter power, or alternator power wire. I would guess starter. It's very easy to have something touching the starter connection to the trans.

I hate to say "short" because everyone says that and they have no idea what they're talking about. But in this case it actually is a short.

Before we even started working on the install the car wouldn't crank, he had power and the fuel pump would prime but it wouldn't even begin to try to turn-over we push started it and it cranked up but died, I dunno if it could have kept running or not

i replaced the battery fuse and took out the starter to push start but as soon as i connect the battery it just blows the fuse........ alternator maybe?????

i think the alternator power wire is touching the sc housing..... lemme fix that
