Why would he leave the stock rods if D15b rods = D16z6 rods, and he snapped a rod in his stock D16z6, just get new motherfuckin pistons and eagle rods

yea man as a friend me and scotch and teal_dx agree that u should get eagle rods... we just looking out for u buddy...

th rods are gonna be the first thing to go so i wanna replace them. ill have a good tune i just wanna be sure.

um. no. ringlands on the pistons are much weaker.
stock d16 rods stand up to +200hp all day
eagle rods require forged pistons.
forged pistons require aftermarket sleeves.
Ridiculous $$$ for <200hp

... His d16 rods broke .... on a stock motor, so like 110 hp

u fail dyno sheet says so...... his z6 bareley made 110hp

anyway, here is a lot of peoples experience with SC sohc 's.

i didn't read it all but most used stock d16 or d15b vtec motors with good results.
a few w/nitrous or turbo used forged piston/rods
good luck on your build which ever you decide.

25k??? like 25000rpm ?????? on a single cam civic ?????? i dont believe it ..... or do u mean $25,000 in it????
