My B16b woes

So when I picked up my car, it came with the system tuned on Chrome, P30 ECU.

Due to hear knocking, I got re flashed with a stock ITR tune, up'ed the fuel in the higher RPMS by around 10%.

Lately its been weird. Somedays its fine, where as others it feels like crap.

A couple weekends ago it threw a CEL with 1, 20, 36. O2, charging system and Traction control (JDM).

My hopes is just to get a working car. I will not be heavily modding it.

Suggestions? Im really leaning towards just getting a obd1-obd2 harness and a CTR ecu. That way I know it will be right.

Go with ectune...

Tuning the ECU would mean a great increase in hp with some bolt-ons, and for that you really should stick with OBD1.

A guy over here in Holland got almost 197hp from a stock B16a2 in his DC2 ITR, using nothing but bolt-ons from the B18c6 he send out for building/etc, and a good tune (though I do believe he does it for a living, but a good tune is just unbeatable...).

So try another ROM editor, find yourself a f*ing good tuner, and you should be allright.
Don't wast money on a OBD2 conversion wich you will regret IMO.

Yea but I mean how valuable will that be if i do not plan on modding this motor?

I just want basic bolt ons, thats all.

:)

well s100 was the first type and is the cheapest but has the least options but its still decnt to tune it. s100 also offers a boost option. s200 has a boost version to they jsut have more options i believe. s300 is the best it comes with everything and has datalogging and stuff. thats just what i believe i could be wrong

Yup thats the basics. The s100 would be fine for you. Thats what I had running my ITR swap. Car made 195whp and 134tq with that system. Just make sure you have a good tuner!!

Those are kick ass numbers for just slapping a VTEC head on a LS block. :thumb:
