im using it! its good so far, make sure you use teflon tape on all of the threads that go into the sandwich plate or else youll have an oil leak fer sure.
BTW, im running both oil pressure and oil temp without any problems and the whole setup is pretty responsive! Good luck!

I have never used an adapter plate but here is another option for you:

It's an adapter for where the oil warning light sensor goes.

I'm using a $20 ebay one with no problems. Just be sure to look closely for any metal shavings in the threads before you install.

im running GlowShift setup. pretty much love it! they are cheap in price and seem good at gauges and accessories. i mean obviously cannot compary to legit aem and apexi gauges, but for a price of one oil pressure gauge from AEM, i afforded to get 3/4 of my current 7 gauge setup.

yeah the best way is to get it direct
its about the same price maybe 5 dollars more, but you at least get a piece of mind and a warranty through glow shift.
the ones i have are the black tinted series w/ 7 color change. i wouldnt recommend them if you live in a sunny type of place with an A-pillar mounting. regular tinted series i heard are awesome.
