Civic EG

It's from an older engine... and there is a PG7 stamped on the underside. I googled PG7 and it says that's the ECU for a DOHC ZC.
Someone else said it was from an 80's integra...
Is this a DOHC ZC valve cover?

most of the pics of DOHC ZC's I found on google have the Honda logo on the bottom like this:

Then some of them have the logo on top like this:

That one looks like the VC that I have...

but which pic is actually a DOHC ZC...

it does look like a D16a (dohc ZC) from 86-89 integra. it's deff not from a prelude

Maybe they both are ZC VC's. Just like how the 92-93 z6 VC just says HONDA and the 94-95 z6 VC's have VTEC on them.

I thought that too, but each one bolts to the head in different locations. One had the 4 bolts on the outer edge, the other one like mine has them closer to the center.

No DOHC's here, only SOHC :thumb:

I bought this off some guy for cheap to try out some paint on.

i was under the impression that the 92-93 z6's didnt have vtec and thats why it wasnt on the valve cover, thats what i was told. but yea the logo position could change from year to year, the rest of the vc looks the same. we have two of those integras in a local junk yard.

your not building a dohc zc are you?

yea they got you lol.. 92-93 came vtec... i think it was beleived that the civic ones didnt say Vtec on the civic chassis but the del sol ones did. well atleast ones i looked at.

its a dohc zc vc. one could be obd1 the other obd0. just like how the LS ones are different from obd1 to 2.

I found it weird that they would change how/where they bolt to the head... you never know what's right/incorrect on google images these days...
