Civic EG

so heres the deal... i have a b16 with a fresh b16 swap with only maybe 40k miles on it. i cleaned my motor one day and drove it home from work. the next morning i went to start my car and got nothing. well i replaced my plugs and wires because it was running rough when it was running and that smoothed out that issue. well this has been going on for about 2 weeks. so today me thinking that it was my starter i decided to go over to a buddies house and try to fix it. first thing we did was checked the battery. charging it up all the way and that wasnt the issue. we then decided to check the starter and cables. i took the starter off my car and put it on my friends b16 crx and that wasnt the issue. we also put his starter on my car and still nothing. i put a new terminal on the positive cable for my battery and used a brand new battery. now all i get when i try t start it is a bunch of clicks that comes out of the starter. i know the starters work and that there is obviously power going to the starter. idk if the switch is extending the arm out on the starter to move the fly wheel but if thats the case would that be the starter relay???? if so where would that be located???? pleaseeee help me i havve run out of ideas
