engine diagnostic tools what to buy and where to buy from.

with the recent problems ive had with my sedans motor, and my hatches motor burning oil, i thought it might be a good idea to pick up some diagnostic tools. what should i get and where should i buy from? thanks.

no like compression tester and such advanced diagnostic equipment, a good obd1 reader would be nice tho.

tru on obd1 reader. I looked at sears the other day but they didnt have one in the store. maybe online.

you could get a cheap compression tester at autozone for about 35 bucks..and just jump the two wires in green rubber, that will tell you what codes it throwing
