no, but if you edit this thread with a more descriptive title I'm sure more people will know what you are talking about and someone who has may chime in :thumb:

yeah i have heard of people taking out the middle layer of a y8 head gasket to make it .028 thick instead of .038" (rough estimate) to raise some comp... seems like a lot of work and easy to mess up, just deck the head or block .010 or .020 :thumb:

well i just blew my hg and have to replace it but i dont plan on boosting or spraying my z6 so i wanted to increase the compression a lil. but yea i guess if it hard and easy to screw up i wont take it out. the only mods i was plannin was maybe a cam. idk i had a full turbo set up but there is no one around here to tune it. and i cant really spray cause there is no where around here to refill the bottle ha...so im kinda stuck

oh come on..don't waste that complete turbo setup! you can drive with the turbo kit installed however far you need to to get tuned, i drove mine for like a week, just stay in vacuum... oh and replace that HG with an OEM y8 or z6 (same thickness) a.s.a.p.

i bet you could find someone to fill nitrous bottles, i found a place like 20 minutes away

Just drive easy and don't get on it and you'll stay in vacuum. boost=not in vacuum.

also, OEM head bolts are the best to ue.

Do you mean OEM Head Gaskets? Because ARP Head Studs are better than OEM head bolts, especially in a boosted motor :thumb:

x2 ... ARP head studs for boost and OEM Headgasket :thumb:

just take 'er easy, i would say partial throttle and no revs above 3.5k and you'll stay in vacuum ... dosent' the greddy kit come with emanage?

No i ment bolts. I have atleast 5 friends with 400+hp sohc set ups and they all had HG problems and lifting head problems until they ditched the arp's.
