not sure but i think the mount you have is not usable due to the rubber being riped out. i thought the inserts went on the outside of the orig. mount.

i thought it was like any other energy insert.... doesn't the urethane portion go in where the rubber part is broke out? just like the suspension bushings? :?

gonna be pissed, that thing is expensive

the inserts just help the oem mount by filling in the spaces. What you have there is completely broken :(

what brand is it?

The only thing you may be able to do is remove the rotted rubber and fill the entire thing with a tube of urethane, but then you have to be careful to get the pin centered and angled correctly.

son of a bitch... it's just the factory one that came on the car, so the prothane ones do not fill the entire void? like this:

well NAPA sells them for like $90, i guess i will try and find a used one maybe...where would i be able to find a tube of urethane to fill it, never heard of that? :?

so how do the energy ones help that much?

just go to a junk yard. get a used mount. go to an auto stor and buy a tube of urithane calking. its black and thick. kinda like the shit that hold your front window in. then just fill the mount were it has holes and bamm. solid poly mount. lol i have not doen this yet but i plan on it when swapping in my b. i here it works very well.

thanks for the help, i was reading up and i think that the prothane mount would be way to stiff but it is a complete insert where you burn out the factory rubber.

i'm just going to get a used one and call it a day, get the ES lower mounts :thumb:

this car is going to be the death of me

the broken one you posted definitely looks aftermarket. the factory ones I've seen are stamped steel casing.

wow really? so like it's a NAPA special? i mean the car looks like it might have been hit and repaired cause i keep finding bondo spots.... i'm thinking it was a hit that killed this mount, it's slit right through and really clean, doesn't look like it happened over a long time.....

damn women drivers :x
