Since I changed my old gauge cluster, I'm faced with a new problem... how to transfer the open-door indicator from here (in red circle) -- located in the fuel gauge-temperature cluster

to here -- tachometer cluster

Hope y'all can help me with this. :D Thanks

I just searched the DIY topics... under the interior and electrical, but I couldn't find a topic for my problem.

not to thread jack but i didn't want to start another thread. My dx gauge cluster doesn't come with a tach or a low fuel light.

My question is, does the lx/ex gauge cluster come with low fuel light? And if I plug the cluster in, will my low fuel light work? or do I need to wire it specially for it to work?

I finally had time to do my "door-open indicator" project today. Over all, I can say it was a success, except for some minor problem. :woot:

I was careful in pulling out my gauge cluster, don't want to wreck the fuel gauge again.

Half-way through the project, lookin' good!

Here, my problem started, every time I open any door, in this case, the driver's side door, the trunk indicator would also come on.

But hey, what's important is I managed to pull it off. Here is my project.

:hehe:

Seems that the dome light and the trunk are wired together, so everytime the dome light comes on, so does the trunk indicator. But this will have to do for now.
