search would be easier then posting it on here. usualy you just have to slide down the shift boot, unhook a clip then unscrew the knob

well depending if yours is 5spd or auto it can happen one of two ways really.....
autowill be held on by screws and i think maybe a clip.
5spd is either twists right off like a nut or what dawg316 said tho ive never done that in a civic only accord

If you got a manual, just twist the knob to the left like you're opening a bottle. It's that easy.
