Hey, whats up everybody. I'm from Louisville, KY and am new to Hondas. I drive an 03 VW passat 1.8t and that is my daily; not the brightest idea to have a VW as a daily but oh well. I plan on picking up an EG coupe in a few weeks so I thought I'd join and learn a few things. I have a couple questions also.

Ok so its 94 or 95 ex coupe. The motor laying in it is a D16Y8 out of a 99 EX.

First question is what will it take to get this motor to work with this car. The guy said something about the wiring ?? Like i said I'm a noob so dont flame me too bad.
Thats the only question i can actually think f now but i am sure there will be tons more. :thumb:

welcome. now for your prob did the guy use the stock engine wireing from your car or the one from the 99 civic if he used the one from the 99 civic it is the wrong engine wireing so u will need one from a 92-95 civic ex or si see your car is obd1 the car the motor came out of is obd2 the wireing don't plug up

yea i figured out what i have to do. i need to get a wiring harness that will convert it from obd2 to obd1. and also a few sensors need to be switched. the car is riced out pretty bad so I'm afraid to post pics until i get it and start yanking parts off. MAJOR PROBLEM the rear bumper is molded on i think :x :x :x :x :x :x :x

im not 100% sure but i think it is and is there anyway to take it off? it is pretty gay looking

ya there's a way to get the bumper off the best way is to take it to a body shop the other way is to take all of the bolts out of it take a hammer to the top of the bumper and it should crack the filler than u will have to get the rest of the filler off of the car.my friends had one molded on the front we had to hit it with a sleghammer for like a hour to get it off.
