#79719 Hello. The Honda Language post is great, but we need a master list. And since I have nothing to do for the next two hours, I decided to contribute.

If anyone has anything to add, please post it and I will try to keep it updated as much as possible. I am active duty so it might be a few days in between.

Also note: A lot of this stuff was copy/pasted, and I added a few myself. I'm not trying to steal anyone's work, just trying to help out.

Big thanks to all the contributors on the first post, especially egferio95, k20a_da, Bouli and Sire.

#79728 Nice job! Does this thread contain all of the other ones from the first thre (and then some)? If so I might make yours the sticky instead since everything is well organized :thumb:
By omalika
#79729 yes, it contains everything that the first one had, minus some random stuff i thought wasn't appropriate, and then added about a dozen of them and the explanations and whatnot.

and i was hoping if anyone has some spare time just start making stuff for section 2... like you can start on one thing and just do everything related to that, i.e.

Long block = block + cylinder head
Short block = block only
Cylinder head = housing for the valves and the camshaft(s), mounts on top of the block.
Intake manifold = Air travels through here to reach the engine. connects to the cylinder head.
Exhaust manifold = first series of tubing that the exhaust gases pass through to exit the engine. connects to the downpipe and cylinder head.

#81905 F22B 2.2L USDM SOHC VTEC 94-97 Accord EX/97 2.2CL 145hp

i disagree with this one. I've got an F22B that is a DOHC non-vtec, exact opposite of what is posted... can anyone offer me any insight as to why/how i have this motor on a stand in my garage.... i pulled it from an accord that was in an accident. i know the motor was swapped into the accord, but i don't know if there was a head swap performed before/after the F22B block was swapped into said accrod... Ive been having wicked amounts of trouble finding any clues about this motor, but i have found some others that are exactly like it; DOHC non vtec... its not in my car yet, im performing the swap now, and ill try and remember to put numbers up when i get some in...

okay; your turn... tell me what you think.

#81906 p.s. - sorry for posting in a sticky, just realized, i can delete and repost - or a mod can move it if it causes any big waves, lol.

thanks again guys..

The F22B Block will take the H22A DOHC VTEC and H23 DOHC NON-Vtec Head. Its a Popular Frankenstein swap as the H22 Block has Fiber Reinforced Rings which are not as Strong as the Iron Rings in the F22 Block.

It also could be a JDM F22b out of the BA6 Prelude

yeah thats what i was leaning towards too; running the F block and internals supposedly like boost more then the H with the H head making more power.... Myself and a couple buddies are all building different engines. one is doing a D, myself a B, and another is doing the 'big block' F/H .. but we've got his blocked stamped 'F22B' with the DOHC non-vtec head.. i've been trying to tell him that its a head swapped block, thats what i honestly believe, but he claims it came that way outta a stock USDM prelude.. and im just not ready to buy his explanation just yet.. ill get some pics of it and post em, you can all pass judgement lol.

although, my research has turned up an F22B DOHC non-vtec destined for the US market, can't remember where i found it tho.. so im pretty confused..

#84190 well correct me if im reading this wrong. wiki tells me "The Japanese SI came with the F22B (2.2L DOHC NON-VTEC 160 hp)." i am the buddy noted above still holding strong to my side so if someone was to prove one of us wrong it would be nice.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Prelude its towards the bottom under fourth gen 1992-1996. thanks guys.

ps. mike i never give up buddy.

#217057 Hey I was looking at wheels and was wondering what does PCD mean?
User avatar
By ron_kimi
#217062 PCD stands for pitch circle diameter and is the diameter of a circle drawn through the centre of your wheel's bolt holes. P.C.D. is measured in millimeters and also indicate the number of studs or bolts the wheel will have.
