I'm probably going to convert to an EG for college, and my buddy Justin is some kinda EG whore, so I figured I'd join the crew.

I currently drive a 2000 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro, and its for sale. I'm going to sell it, use some of my loan equity and etc to pay for a clean EG hatch. Parents are only gonna pay for like half or so of my college costs, so having a payment, full coverage, VW/Audi maintenance BS, and etc all has to go. My plan is to find a super clean EG hatch for like $3500 tops, mod it slowly while keeping it reliable, and then only drive it when I need to while I'm at school.

I'm going to be attending Mizzou's Journalism School, and undergrad's have to live on campus. That means, as long as weather permits, I'll be riding my fixed gear. If its rainy, freezing, visiting home, whatever... I'll drive the Civic.

So yeahh. Now, the current car:

Motor/Engine/Go fast:
- K03s, rebuilt with K04 parts at Turbo Supply in Joplin
- Full 2.5in catback exhaust/magnaflow muffler
- FMIC, 2.25 piping, 28x7x2.5in core
- K&N filter with APR TIP
- RFL clone BOV (recirc)

Transmission/driveline:
- eGaY short shifter
- Shitty stock clutch

Interior:
- New OEM shift boot/assembly
- New shift knob
- Memphis Audio front speakers
- Rear 12v adapters
- VAG-COM +laptop

Exterior:
- 25% window tint
- 10% brow
- S4 front bumper
- Europlate (4RINGS18T)
- E-Code headlights
- VVME 6000k HID's
- Paint matched RS4 grille
- BBS R something wheels

Suspension/braking/handling:
- All new arms/rods/etc
- Sport package shocks on H&R sport springs
- A8 front brake conversion
- Drilled front rotors
- Hawk HPS front pads

Find me a hatch! =]

Nice Audi man, I like the front end. Your gonna find the civic a lot more different to drive compared to your Audi, I prefer my civic all day long, but I am a little biased, driven a few 1.8t A3's so not completely, but my civic minces them all :D woo but the brakes are really good on the Audi's as you know lol cause ther huge. so what you planning on doing with the civic engine wise? taking note that your going to be using it sensibly.

Probably just a mini-me to start with.. Maybe a B16. I would say boost, but thats highly unlikely.

I plan on doing a shit ton more in suspension and braking than I do motorwise. Like good coils, discs, strut tower/chassis bracing, and etc.

If I can put down at least a 15.5, then I'll be stoked haha.

Thanks for the compliments on the car. I plan on doing a JDM front clip and etc, and likely a maroon and gold style. I'm matching my car to my fixed gear which will be on a roof rack and etc, hahahaha.

That's fair enough, safety first is a good start. Keep us posted with pics and some details, will be a good read up considering your doing everything from scratch. all the best
