- Mon Mar 16, 2015 5:04 pm #352614 '94 vx here. I know many build the eg civics for performance but mine has given me the best mpg I've ever had. Last summer I averaged 52-53 mpg. That's not a tank here and there but my average throughout the summer. Even in the winter I've been consistently high 30s sometimes over 40.

Any other vx owners here? Looks like a great site.

The VX was so far ahead of its time. A lot of the VX owners on here have swapped to a different motor for more power, but I'm also impressed what the VX can do as-is.

I had a 96 HX (next best thing to the VX) and I loved the feeling of getting 40 MPG minimum. :thumb:

- Mon Mar 16, 2015 10:29 pm #352633 Yeah the vx motor shows that gobs of expensive technology are not needed to get impressive mpg. My car will match or get even better mpgs than many modern and much more expensive hybrids.

I have another vehicle for times when I want lots of power.
