Looking for a machine shop in Illinois.....
Posted: Wed Jun 01, 2011 11:54 pmMost places charge over $2000.00 for a basic OEM rebuild. I'm thinking, is it worth rebuilding a D16Z6 that cost anywhere between $600-$900? Or is it more wise to just save and go for a complete Type R B series swap? I can understand a basic rebuild for no more than $1400 for a small engine, but $2000 + ????? maybe for a Type R, or a V8.... Does anyone know of a machine shop that is affordable?
