#106254 hi recently did an auto - manual engine swap, some of you might remember, at this time it was just 1.5 lsi auto - 1.5 lsi manual.

a few months later and im bored, i was thinkin about putting either a 2.0 k20a civic type r engine, a 2.2 integra engine, or even a rover 45 v6 engine in. could any one advise me on which would be the easiest and best value for my money.

#106284 Best value for money and easiest would be a B18B. You don't need custom mounts. no wiring for VTEC. Lot's of torque.

#106380 'H22'.

But I'd agree, the b series would be the best money wise and the easiest to put in.

Putting a B Series swap into an EG is almost as easy as putting in a replacement D. :thumb:

the B20a and B22 are from the late 80's Preludes. they are not comptable at all with the newer B16's,B18's, and B20b/z's that came in the newer Integra's and CRV's. Thus giving them the nick name the "Bastered B's"

The engines have next to no after market support. and are quite weak in comparison to most Honda engines.

I wouldn't recommend swapping in a B22.

ftl

if your going to swap in an American V8, do a Cadi Northstar V8 swap. quad overhead cams. Front wheel drive. 8 cylinders. 295hp, 290lbs/torque.

Even the VW People do it, That means Honda guys will start copying that fad too. Better then Rusted Hoods Though.
