Civic EG

hey guys i got a S20 tranny on my sohc, and my VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is not reading my speed on the odometer. i bought a new VSS before and still doesnt read. Every now and then the needle will read speed, bounce around then just stop working.i've heard there is a couple of different sensors these trannys take but im not sure if that could be the problem. if anyone can give me advice or help me out on this it would be greatly appreciated thanks guys.......

its the gauge. happened to me and had to get a new one. Supposedly, the eg gauge cluster is notorous for this problem.

problem with all hondas.. sometimes its the vss but most the time speedo

happened to me too...had to replace the speedo head in the cluster after replacing the vss as well...

common problem on the hondas...

My cluster still good and it got 322 400km on the clock :headbang:
