- Tue Apr 03, 2012 5:24 am #300757 i have a 93 coupe manual transmission and just recently my reverse lights started acting up before it would kind of flicker on and off as i moved through gears but now its on all the time no matter what it drives me crazy not to mention if i get a cop behind me i could get a ticket ive looked every where to see if anyone has the answer to this problem and it always comes down to the same things its either a short, the backup light switch, or a fuse.... is there any to figure which one it is and does any one know how to fix it

- Wed Apr 04, 2012 2:04 am #300844 Or it could be the reverse switch on the transmission has gone bad. It's on the top with 2 wires going to it.
