#204000 As EM1 mentioned, do as Chrono did.
He used the original DelSol wiring harness. All he changed is the internals of the Dizzy so the B20 Dizzy would plug right in.

I would stay away from b20. for a 2.0 your making less then 150hp. I would go with a JDM b16a/b or a JDM b18c.

...or j series swap it

I had a B16 for a while, I liked it at first, however grew to hate it. I had to rev the piss out of it to get any power of it and it couldn't keep up on mountain roads. I always fell back on the uphill. I Gladly swapped in a Super Fresh JDM B20 in and Sold my B16.

Your Missing the Torque, B20's have their power right from the 2k. B16's and b18c's have to wait for vtec to get their power.

My Fresh 99Spec JDM B20b(our usdm b20z) matched to my 99-00SI Em1 b16 transmission leaves b16's in the dust like they are powered by a d15b7. B18C's are much better than the b16. However My B20 Still pulls on them.

Not only is my B20 faster than B18c's and B16's, I run on 87 Octane Fuel while B16's and b18c's have to Run 91+ Octane Fuel. IMO The B20 with B16 or B18c Transmission is the best B Series Swap.Awesome for Daily Driving, Awesome for Cruising, Awesome for Mountain Runs/Auto Cross, And it pulls like a Beast. :thumb:

#204058 Get the B20 if you can its rated at 145hp but that's cuz it as a terrible intake mani aka the giraffe. Put a better flowing LS mani on it it will make a big differance.

I see what you are saying, and they are torque. Tranny has a lot to do with it to, people put stock LS tranny with a b20 and haven't been happy. Throw a type-r or b16 tranny on it and youll have fun. VTEC the b20 and power from the get go and then vtec.

#204072 Ok imo you should put in the b20 cuz thats what you want but there is two different b20's. B20z and a b20b. The z has 10.2:1 compression so its good for n/a and the b has 8.8:1 compression so its good for boost. So just do what you want and make a killer motor for your likings. Good luck :thumb:

#204074 sweet but still on the wiring harness question will it match up and iam goin with a b20b is the b20z better :o
User avatar

#204075 Depends on the yr of the motor. The stock harness should work but idk i would ask chrono about the harness. The b20z is better if you are not going to put a turbo on it, it has a higher compression ratio. The b20b has low compression so it good for a turbo. Its really just whatever you want to build
