- Wed Jan 06, 2010 7:11 pm #166309 just got done with my d16z6 swap in my dx i kept it auto but i ised the DX tranny now anytime i drive it it will still shift at the 6500 it did shift at with the d15b7 it should be shifting at the 7200 or so right? i have a chipped p28 if you guys need any other info just let me know

- Wed Jan 06, 2010 8:30 pm #166330 check to see if your throttle body is opening all the way when your gas pedal is pressed all the way down. Sometimes after doing a swap, there's not enough tension in the throttle cable to open the throttle body all the way. You can take the slack out of the cable by adjusting the cable at the throttle body end, but you won't get too much adjustment there. You get a lot more adjustment on the back of the gas pedal.
