Running Wash

- Mon Jan 28, 2008 5:57 pm #39706 Okay, this is something that doesnt happen in the desert all that often. It poured rain all day yesterday, and all last night. The rain that falls comes rushing down the mountains and fills up these channels called washes. In some areas the water is probably around 20 feet deep and moves soooo fast it'll sweep a semi truck away with ease. These pics were taken this morning as soon as the sun popped out.

No doubt!! Crazy thing is one second its dry, then this huge wall of water comes rushing out of the mountains.

Yeah, basically, whole process takes about a day or so.
