sorry, I should have updated this thread. The quick reply feature was causing problems with other areas of the forum. the fix was to have it not appear in your profile, so it had been disabled for now... those who had the quick reply on before it was removed still have quick reply option. those who has it turned off still don't have quick reply. I took it down about 2 weeks ago and reverted to old back-up files.
This is something that I will have to search through the code line by line to look for a problem (such as an extra character or space) that was corrupting the profile page. But it will be back eventually
