#139644 Just finished my little brothers car a little bit ago, and took it too the drag strip while he went camping :P

-Stock B16a made 303hp low boost on 91oct, and 413hp on high boost with VP Q-16 (116oct) race gas. tuned by Cortney Green on Neptune.
-drag cast mani, garrett t3 57 trim, stg3 wheel, precision 850hp intercooler, Tial WG, greddy BOV, GM 3 bar map, AEM boost soleniod, msd digital6 ign, with blaster coil, bosch 1000cc Injectors, SX performance pump, -10 feed line, full race sump.
- skunk2 drag launch springs, on KYB blues.
-Ran 24.5x9x13 HOOSIER slicks on lensos

me driving the car for the first time, Had my Girlfriend in the car all night, And missed third each pass. (tranny is eefff'd up)

#151429 First time at the track ever w CRX project. Its a 91 dx still an auto, Tokico Blues, and not sure what springs, (just bought it, havent changed much yet, just an ebay header) weighed in at 1970 before I gutted it, and removed the tar adhesive, and passenger seat not sure the current weight w/ driver: It ran 17.545 @ 77.72 mph, on 13" VX rims tires @32lbs, again still auto and had to let off a bit as it approached redline between shifts bc for some reason it over revs and throws a CEL and wont rev past 3K. also it has 297xxx miles on engine/tranny

so, with the LS about to be boosted with a GSR tranny, i'm really wandering whats gonna happen. without boost, i'm confident the car would run really close to a 14 flat at about 100.


the thing is, with the GSR trans i'm topping out 4th gear at like 108 MAX.. once she's boosted to around 200whp, and close to the 2000Lb mark, it SHOULD do low 12's, but i already know I'm not gonna get traction with street tires and stock axles, even with LSD..... Sooo, I feel i'll be shooting for a high trap instead of a low time. think my 4th has enough gear to make the finish?? or will i be killing both my time and trap shifting into 5th..?? :?


I know i cant wait to find out!! :lol: :twisted:

You'll make it across the line in 4th. street tires for sure will be a no go. literally. Stock axles will be fine, Just learn to pre-load. Pre-loading saves trannies, and axles, and will help lower your 60fts.

115 sorry i found the slip for it i thought it was 125. after i posted it, i was like wait 125? thats rather fast... so i went searching for my slips

finally got to the track with the new setup. went a 13.3 @ 107 with no traction in first or second. my wore out street tires just couldn't cut it plus test n tune track prep is always pretty terrible.. time for some drag radials.

i wonder how fast a stock jdm b16 will do. eg hatch almost fully gutted(interior panels still on). w/15 inch rota rims(12lb rims)

#249583 Went to the track today with my b16a3 4 door DX, that is new to me. I am no drag racer but I do baseline and rerun cars when I do mods.I was stuck in the mid 15's and decided to let her cool off a bit and unscientifically play with the timing and rotated it towards the firewall to advance(I need to get a light on it). The next run after messing with that was my best even with the adjustable test pipe popping open mid track. I ended up having a best of 14.88@ 92.45 with a 2.45 60 foot. I really couldn't get better than 2.3 all day but the temps were in the 80's with some high humidity. The car has a hytech rep, testpipe, yonaka exhaust and short ram intake. I was kinda disappointed with time and mainly the 60 foot being the car has an lsd, oh well. Next week is when I get to dodge cones which is more my bag anyhow.
