How do people go about getting sponors? Do you have to know someone or will companies sponsor you if you ask them. Don't know how this works

You have to apply. And give a list of races you'd be attending, a description of you, the car, and why. Stuff like that. You can go to the websites of the companies you'd want and they'll have apps, or a spot to tell you what you'd have to do
