Civic EG

hi guys, i have realised with my civic that occastionally my temp gage seems to just drop off the scale.... the car drives great and is'nt smokin.

it does this even if i have been driving for a while so it must be warm!!

any ideas will be a great help just to get peace of mind.

it could be a faulty thermostat temp switch, or wiring for the temp switch
