boot sensor's gone

hey guys bit of a problem, i close my boot and the dashlight that indicate's that a door is still open stay's on, i am also sure that it is the boot.
my question is where is the sensor for it and can i block it or jam it or something, the easiest option would be best

I think it's in the tail gate latch. See if there's a wire you can unplug.

Well the trunk indicator light is separate from the door indicator light.
Does your dome light stay on when in the center "door" position and the doors are closed?
Yes, there is a black clip on the trunk latch that you can disconnect. However, if the problem is caused by that wire being grounded, you will either need to fix the ground or cut the wire at the back of your gauge cluster.
Unless australian clusters are very different than JDM, EDM, and USDM clusters, most likely you have either a bad door pin switch or grounded door trigger wire.

thanks guys with what you said i have taken a look at it, the previous owner did not have a problem with it because i can see he had jammed it with rubber which has since fallen off, if he is using this forum i would just like to say, youre a tard. no more problem's
