im putting oem tails on my hatch finally, getting rid of the nasty altezzas that the previous owner installed. but im having trouble with the rear corners. the bolts are really hard to get to and im wondering if i have to remove the panels around it? if i do is there a way i should do it? what do i remove. any help would be greatly appreciated :thumb:

Its a lot easier with the panels removed, but you can just remove the covers on both sides to get at them.

Or have a sibling pull back on the side panels :thumb: that's what I did and had no problem.

They're a pain but a small 8mm wrench and 8mm socket/ratchet should be all you need.

btw good job on de-ricing your Civic.

I could never find a way to get to the outside lights with out taking out the plastics.

ya you'd need one funky ass shaped tool to get in there without takin off the panel.

you dont need to take the trim pannels right off, just the bolts near the lights, then like someone said above, just push it out the way enough to get to the bolts on the lights.
