hey guys, another noob right here

i recently purchased my civic si (d16a8 audm) and i found that it was leaking oil from the front, so i took a look under. i saw that my exhaust was covered in black, with oil drips showing. heres a pic of it. does anyone know what might be wrong here? and how much will it cost to diagnose.

looks like it may be the tranny, which will mean removing and taking apart the tranny to re-seal. or it could also be your oil pan or rear main seal, but i can't tell from the pics. Oil pan would be a simple fix.

i'd say oil pan gasket. and the valve cover is just the cam seal

thanks for the replies guys.

it ended up being the sump plug leaking, and the previous owner tried to hide it by taping the leak up. what a moron
