Im pretty sure my altenator is going. Does anyone have a DIY removal/install for an altenator? I can seem to find one.
Thanks for the help.

Removing the alternator is actually a lot harder than it sounds. I like to jack the car up and squeeze it out between the block and the axle. But now that I have air tools (haven't changed the alternator in about 5 years) I'll probably just remove the axle and make it a million times easier.

Turns out that I didnt even have to replace it.......yet. Every time I start the car up, the battery light comes on, and as soon as I rev up the engine a little, the light will go out.
I assume with such the cold weather we had, and when I started the car up, I didnt rev it up and and the altenator wasnt charging....

So just an update. The old altenator went for another few months until the other day when the car quit on me at work.
Managed to find a used one, but when I got under the car to get that pin out, nothing would move. That pin is siezed in there for sure. We dont have any major heat so I have to take the car into a garage to get the old one off. Does anyone have any hints?
Were working without a hoist as well.

Pick up a little butane torch from a smoke shop or a convenience store. I keep one in my box for busting tough nuts.

I had to end up destroying one of those pins on a 96 civic. I beat it to death, used pb blaster and fire and it was still not coming out.
I was so pissed that day.
