Hello to all members this is my first post.. but like mentioned its not a good start i have a 92 civic hatch, b20 with b16 and today as i was driving home, my battery light turned on, and now it runs like crap! i just recently bought the car so dont know exact mods but sounded liked it was chipped since it had a launch control at 5000 rpm and redline at 8k. but now it takes of real slow and stutters at like 5000 where the launch control was set it is dark and no flashlight im guessin alternator belt?? thanks in advance! and if so can someone help me choose the right belt?

welcome, LA ftw!
bout your problem sounds like your alternator either went bad or its going bad. check your alternator fuse if its blown if not then your alternator is bad.

But I'm guessing b20 with b16 head. It would be a b20 alternator.

your under hood fuse panel should have a diagram on its cap, it will tell you which fuse is the alt fuse, if it doesn't check you manual, if u have it.

Actually is under the dash fuse box but doubt its the fuse now. If that fuse was blown then a few other things wouldn't be functioning aswell.
So I think its your alternator bro.
EDIT: before replacing the alternator with a new one you should have an auto part store like autozone check it for you to see if its still works.
