hey, i have finished the b16a2 converion on my eg, its running obd1 interior and engine loom, today after putting about 1.5 litre of oil and water in the radiater i connected the battery and then turned the key but i didnt started it, it was giving the engine light, then i tried the daignostic test with the paper clip, it gave a permanent engine light like before, then i tried starting but there was nothing no click or starting noise or anything, let me know what would be the problem, i am desperate to taste the vtec on b16, help me out please, thanks amer

either check your battery or grounds thats what happened to me is the grounds killed it (not litterally) but you need every single one stationed on a good area or it wont even click or turn over...

i hope you put coolant in your radiator and oil in your engine? :)

solid cell can mean there is something wrong with your ecu. try an other one, p28 or p30.....

Honda service manual quote:

(Check engine light stays on Steady),The backup system is in operation.Substitute a known good ecu and recheck. If the indication goes away, replace the original ecu.

it wasn't the ecu, it was the ecu fuse, i have sorted that out, tried starting it, but no luck there's no currenct going into starter motor, i think it might be the driverside headlight loom as one of the wires from the starter connects on that loom, Amer
