B swap is easiest, K is probably easier than it used to be since the aftermarket has come a long way since I last looked into it.

there's some threads in here:

that could help you learn :thumb:

i did the b16A into my Si and it was really really easy. everything bolts up. the only thing i had to mess with was the MAP sensor and the ECU. (i have no idea what ECU the esi's came with, mine came with a p28.

Good luck :thumb:

If you're a ricer with 'jdm style' lights, they forget.

Anyway. Depending on what cash you've got is what swap you're gonna do.
How much you looking to spend? K20 is obiously the best if you got the cash.

ok

Sorry but is no way your gonna do a K20 swop for 1,000 $ £ Yen or any currency.

I would suggest look into doing either a B16 for now or if you wanna go bigger mayber H22 but that will mean some chopping needs doing in the engine bay.

full engine swap unless done yourself will be more then 1000. even if it is the B16. but id go with the B16. easy to get in. i basically just dropped mine in.

He's from the UK. Type R B16's on eBay go for £1200.
To be totally honet, if it's a fast engine you're after, just boost the D.
Good luck doing a full B swap for a grand.

Engine on its own will be about a grand +, then you need box? gear linkage? wireing loom? ECU... etc.

It is possible to get the complete swap for under a grand. It just depends on what you want and can get. I got a B18B swap with a GSR tranny for $400. Complete. everything I needed to drop it in and go.

No one in the UK is cool enough to sell something that cheap though :P

yeh no offense but a grand isnt going to get you much

i did my engine swap myself for alittle less than that (with quite a few mods) but i got the bits for good prices

and you cant just hope for a engine that will 'fly' for £1000 and be 'no hassle' - 99% of the time with doing engine conversions you get alittle hassle along the way (i did) you've got to expext it ESPECIALLY if your doing it to a tight budget.

if i was you id stick with a D series
