1997 civic si coupe, will it fit?????

yeah guys im new to this forum. I have a question, I got a buddy of mine
who's giving me his 1997 si motor. Will this motor fit into a 1992 civic hatchback cx. please help!!!!!!!!!!!! :?

EX maybe, i don't think that there where a 1997 Si coupe...
and if is a D16 yes it'll fit

Yes... you will need to reuse ur motor-mounts for the tranny, driver side and rear. Also you will need a rear t-bracket from a DC2. You can use the A/C bracket and Tenison Bracket on the side of the tranny. Also you can reuse there throttle cable. Try to find a OBD1 P30 ECU or run a Chipped P28 or PO6

Canadian Si is like the US Ex. So it is probably a D16y8 motor.

its a singe not a B-series hes from canada

you can use all your stock mounts will have to use your harness and rewire it for vtec since its a 92 the Car is already wired for Vtec you'll need a P28 (OBD1 92-95 civic EX/SI ECU) etc

Yea thats if its a US 97 SI, but others have informed that in Canada it comes with a Y8 so there SI is like a EX :?
