Quarter Panel Window Weather Stripping.

Hey guys/gals, the car i've got is a 93 Si Hatch. Currently I dont have any weather stripping on my quarter panel windows. I got some from Honda the other day, and its near impossible to put it on while the window is there! This leads me to think that the window has to be removed to put on the weather stripping. Do you have to remove the window to put in the weather stripping, or have you guys put it in w/o removal of the quarterpanel window? Feedback is appriciated, Thanks!

I pulled mine off when I painted my car, and it was very hard to put it back on. I still cannot get one of the sides on perfectly. I started by the door and went all the way around stuffing little by little in at a time with a flat head screw driver. Bot dont use one with a sharp tip, dull will not tear the rubber. do about 6 inches and then do 6 inches on the opposite edge. this will prevent there from being a lot of extra slack when you get to the end.

I just started at the bottom where it meets the door and worked my way around, i used some silicon lubricant stuff too, made it slide back in place a bit easier - dont really want to do it again though, my fingers were acheing afterwards

doing it on a hot day when the rubber is softer could help too.

And I thought I was the only one missing that trim molding around the quarter windows. I need to get the molding, but I'm going to wait until the car gets painted.

I took mine off when the car was painted as well and the bodyshop said it was a pain to put back on, but it looks good.
