hey guys i need to get a temporary cat for cheap and i was just wondering if the cheap ebay ones would keep my car from sounding loud for a bit. i dont care a bout the emissions because i just need to get the one i have re welded to its thing that bolts up to the exhaust. i just dont want it to sound loud. i hope this made sense to you guys.

Since those cheap ebay ones are usually hollow or close to it, they do let more noise through than a stock one with all of the screens inside.

But if it is just temporary then you gotta do what you gotta do. Sell it to a ricer to make most of your $$ back when you're done with it.
