I'm planing to install a hatch/cargo light on my CX. I've seen the DIY post but I am confused with the process of wiring so I'm going to connect the cargo light with the dome light. When I looked at my hatch I noticed a green wire (I'm assuming a ground wire) attached to the latch lock. Are all Civics pre-wired for a cargo light?
The green wire is for the cluster light that tells you if your trunk is open when your car is on.
Wiring it to the dome light is no simpler than wiring it correctly. And it wont work when the door is open. You'll need diodes to isolate it unless you want your dome light to come on when the hatch light is on.
