- Thu Sep 02, 2010 3:21 pm #211829 Alright im wondering how i can find out if a hatch is a si. I know about the rear disc but everyone swaps them. The hatch has a moon roof with a z6 an also ac. Is there any way i can look up the vin or anything to find out?

Power Mirrors
Power Moonroof
Rear Disc brakes
Painted mirrors
Painted door handles

Most of those you can add to any car, but the best give-a-way would be the moonroof. Like everyones said, it tilts up, then slides back.


The dead give-a-way to it being a true SI hatch is the VIN. EH3 is the chassis code for a Si hatch. Anything other than that and its a fake.
