Hi, my friends hatch has a bit of a problem, im sure ive seen it posted up before, put can't remember wether it was on here or CL.

Right, he told me that everytime he puts it in reverse it blows a fuse for the reverse light, indecators and gauges. Apparently none of the fuses are loose.

Anyone know what could be the problem? Thanks.

check for a short in the reverse lights and the wires going to them.

If the car was auto converted to manual, then someone had to run wiring from the transmission to the center console. That could be a place for potential error, if that's the case.

Check inside the light too, maybe theres water. Which would make a short.
