I have a 93 hatch and cannot seem to get my rear bumper to fit just right, it sticks out almost an inch on both sides! ive tried pushing it in and screwing it but then the middle just doesnt fit correctly and i can only push it in like that one side. the bumper has already been painted nicely so i dont want to swap it out unless i have to. i will post some pics tomorrow morning. any suggestions would be great!

there is a real big difference with hatch and sedan bumper... the sedan should be a bit more wider then the hatch...

and you forgetting the obvious the rear hatch bumper is moulded with the peices underneath the tail lights while the coupe and sedan are metal peices mine dose this same thing im curious to find out why

Might not be a oem Honda bumper. I had a certi-fit rear that fit really bad, and bought a used oem and it fits like a glove.

I got an aftermarket bumper and left it in the shrink wrap it was shipped in for about a year until I painted my car. The shrink wrap got tighter from the heat and squeezed down on the bumper and slightly changed the shape, making it not fit right.
